The problem is that the music goes out after 30 seconds of gameplay if it ever plays at all and the guns/missile/explosion sound effects are the only thing you hear and that is even sketchy. What makes this repair difficult is that there is no available schematic. This board repair is as much about the learning experience as it is my desire to have a working game.
I tested the radial capacitors and they are good. Inspected the traces, roms and sockets, also good.
I bought a $20 Logic Probe and started learning all about the audio section of the board with the Z80 processor, YAMAHA YM2610, and also the YM3016 DAC or Digital to Analog Converter.
